iGaming Talks: Interview with David Mann

TheGamblest: David, as the CEO of Swintt, can you share a bit about the company, its main offerings and overall the successful point it could reach since establishment?

David: Swintt was founded with a clear vision, to deliver localised gaming content tailored to specific markets. While there were already many providers in the industry, few truly focused on catering to the unique preferences of different player demographics.

We’ve built a diverse portfolio that appeals to a broad audience, Elysium Studios delivers innovative slots with stunning graphics and advanced features, whereas SwinttPremium focuses on traditional slots that replicate the experience of land-based gaming. Additionally, we have SwinttStudios, which allows us to collaborate with third-party boutique studios to bring even more variety to our offering.

One of our biggest accomplishments has been our expansion into regulated markets. We are now certified to operate in 12 regulated jurisdictions, including Sweden, the UK, and Ontario, with many more in the pipeline.

TheGamblest: Swintt recently received a new license to operate in Greece. Can you elaborate more on what opportunities this brings for the company, and how does Greece fit into your broader expansion strategy?

David: We’re thrilled to have received certification to enter the Greek market, marking an exciting milestone for Swintt. Greece represents a fantastic growth opportunity and further reinforces our commitment to expanding into key regulated markets.

Greek players have a liking for classic land-based-style slots, but we’ve also seen a shift toward more innovative and modern slot experiences. With our diverse portfolio, we’re perfectly positioned to cater to both preferences.

TheGamblest: Are there any particular titles or innovations you believe will be engaging for Greek players?

David: Definitely believe Elysium Studios titles will go well with Greek players, especially our upcoming March release, Pirate Pledge Hold & Win. This slot features stunning visuals and the popular Hold & Win mechanic, which has proven to be a hit across multiple markets.

TheGamblest: It’s been over a year since Swintt integrated Elysium Studios into its family. How has this acquisition impacted Swintt’s portfolio and overall market strategy?

David: The acquisition of Elysium Studios was a game-changer for us. While Swintt already had a strong presence in the market, we were missing that extra piece of the puzzle, games with stunning graphics and truly innovative features. Elysium Studios has allowed us to expand our portfolio and attract new players who are looking for next-level slot experiences.

TheGamblest: David, have there been any standout successes or unexpected challenges in integrating Elysium’s content and vision into the Swintt brand?

David: One of our standout successes was the launch of I Hate Fairytales. Not only was it a fantastic and successful game, but it also showcased seamless collaboration between the Swintt and Elysium Studios teams. From product development to operations, commercial strategy, and marketing, everyone worked together to bring this unique release to market.

In terms of challenges, there are always potential obstacles with post-merger integrations, but I have to give praise here – the teams worked exceptionally well to not only integrate their game content onto our platform, but to work closely with the rest of Swintt so quickly. This has given us great confidence in our people, as well as our ability to take new studios onboard and grow rapidly.

TheGamblest: We are more than interested in the upcoming projects or strategic moves you have prepared for your players and partners for 2025?

David: Our key focus for 2025 is to further grow the Elysium Studios portfolio with even more exciting releases in the pipeline. Starting with Pirate Pledge Hold & Win launching on 27th March, followed by Crystalium on 29th May.

Beyond game releases, we’ve already had an incredible start to the year by securing ISO 27001:2022 certification and entering the Greek market. Next on our radar are Italy and Switzerland, as we continue to expand our presence in regulated jurisdictions.

TheGamblest: In this challenging iGaming industry, how do you keep Swintt’s brand image and stay relevant in a market that is continuously changing with new members entering the field?

David: Staying ahead in the iGaming industry requires innovation and adaptability. At Swintt, we focus on expanding into key regulated markets that align with our growth strategy, ensuring we always operate where there is strong demand for our content. Additionally, we prioritise developing cutting-edge slots with unique mechanics, themes, and features that appeal to modern players.

Beyond game development, we also emphasise player engagement, particularly through streaming collaborations, allowing us to connect with audiences directly and strengthen our brand presence.

TheGamblest: Running such a large company must be demanding—do you still find time for your personal life and hobbies? How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?

David: Before becoming a dad, I was fully immersed in work, often putting in 12-hour days. However, since the birth of my daughter, I’ve made a conscious effort to prioritise family time and create a better balance between work and personal life.

That said, I still make time for my hobbies, particularly running and exercising, as they help me stay focused and energised, which is essential in such a fast-paced industry!
