March 2025
Your company was founded by a team of experienced iGaming professionals that included former Microgaming and NYX Interactive executive David Flynn. Can you tell us how the firm came into being and what were some of its early successes?
Swintt was founded in May of 2019 by a group who had recognised a gap in the market. While there were many game providers in the industry, few were truly focused on delivering localised content tailored to specific markets. We saw an opportunity to leverage our deep understanding of player preferences across different regions to build a strong and diverse portfolio that would resonate with global audiences.
This approach helped us to quickly establish ourselves as one of the most exciting emerging slot providers in the industry. Since our launch, we’ve expanded rapidly and earned a reputation as an award-winning brand that’s now certified in over twelve regulated markets with more to come.
Can you give us an idea as to how fast Swintt initially grew and what you feel were some of the reasons behind this success?
Swintt may be a relatively young company but in just five years we’ve made a significant impact on the industry. Since our launch, we’ve released over 150 titles and expanded into twelve regulated markets.
One of the biggest drivers behind our rapid growth is our dedicated team and our ‘let’s do this’ attitude when it comes to getting things done. We’re passionate about delivering top-quality games and ensuring these reach as many players as possible. This commitment, combined with strategic partnerships, has helped us establish a strong presence in the market. By working with a wide network of operators, we’ve been able to maximise the visibility of our games and grow our brand at an incredible pace.
Swintt purchased iGaming content developer Elysium Studios last year and immediately added the enterprise’s collection of cutting-edge slots to its offering. What was behind this acquisition and how has it been received by your many operating partners?
Elysium Studios is a team of passionate and highly skilled creatives with a strong background in game development. They played a key role in shaping the visual identity of some of Red Tiger’s early hits, like Dragon’s Luck. Over the years, the studio has grown significantly and now develops its own in-house games featuring signature mechanics and engaging bonus features.
Elysium Studios fits seamlessly within the Swintt family because we share a common vision: delivering entertainment. Modern players expect immersive gameplay, stunning visuals, and innovative features that go beyond traditional slot mechanics and Elysium Studios delivers exactly that.
Swintt was certified by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario in May and subsequently began offering its many slots to online casino operators in Canada’s most populous province. Why did you take this step and how has it been received? Having unveiled ambitious plans to expand into further regulated markets at the start of 2024
Swintt has always been committed to delivering tailor-made gaming experiences that resonate with players in specific markets, and expanding into Ontario was a natural next step for us. Canada represents a massive growth opportunity, and with Ontario being the country’s most populous province and a key regulated gaming jurisdiction, it was essential for us to establish a presence there.
Our recent acquisition of Elysium Studios has further strengthened our portfolio, as their innovative and visually stunning games align perfectly with the preferences of the Canadian audience. This strategic move has allowed us to offer an even more diverse and engaging selection of slots to operators in the region.
Are there any other markets globally Swintt is interested in entering and why?
We have just recently announced that Swintt has received certification to enter the Greek market, marking a significant milestone for us. Greece represents a fantastic growth opportunity, and this certification further cements our commitment to expanding into key regulated markets.
We’re always on the lookout for new markets that align with our offerings and long-term goals. As we continue this global journey, our next key targets are Italy and Switzerland. These are one of Europe’s most established and well-regulated iGaming markets and boasts a strong demand for both classic and modern slot content. However, we’re not stopping with Italy and Switzerland. As we push forward with our ambitious expansion plans for 2025 and beyond, we’ll continue exploring further regulated markets that align with our vision, ensuring that Swintt’s innovative and high-quality content reaches players around the world.
Are there any differences in the game preferences of the jurisdictions in which you are active? If so, what are these and how do you tailor your games to exploit these preferences?
Absolutely, there are clear differences in player preferences across the various regulated markets we operate in, and Swintt’s diverse portfolio allows us to cater to these varying demands effectively.
For example, in markets like Germany and the Netherlands, players tend to gravitate toward more traditional, land-based-style slot experiences. That’s where our SwinttPremium range comes in. These games are designed with a classic aesthetic, featuring familiar symbols and straightforward gameplay
On the other hand, markets like Sweden, the UK, and Ontario have a strong appetite for innovation. Players in these regions are looking for something fresh and dynamic, which is why our Elysium Studios range plays such a crucial role. These titles offer cutting-edge mechanics, immersive graphics, and unique gameplay features that appeal to audiences seeking a more modern and interactive experience.
Are there any challenges created by operating in multiple regulated markets with different regulatory requirements and, if so, how do you approach these?
One of the biggest challenges of operating in multiple regulated markets is staying on top of the ever-evolving regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction. Each market has its own unique rules surrounding compliance, responsible gaming, and technical specifications, meaning a one-size-fits-all strategy simply doesn’t work in today’s industry.
At Swintt, our compliance and operations teams are always on the ball, continuously monitoring regulatory changes to ensure our games and platform remain fully compliant. This proactive approach allows us to adapt swiftly to new requirements, and uphold the highest standards of player protection.
Swintt kicked off the year by gaining 27001: 2022 certification from the International Organization for Standardization. Why did you seek this certification and what does this mean for your company?
ISO 27001:2022 certification is considered the gold standard for trust and compliance, making this achievement a major milestone for Swintt. It reinforces our commitment to maintaining the highest operational benchmarks, particularly in the areas of data security, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
With this certification, Swintt can demonstrate to operators, regulators, and players that we adhere to globally accepted best practices for securing sensitive information, including player data and financial transactions. Given that ISO 27001:2022 is a must-have certification in many regulated markets, obtaining it will not only enhance our reputation but also help us unlock new business opportunities and expand into additional jurisdictions.
What do you believe is the most transformative technology that will dramatically change the future of iGaming entertainment?
One of the biggest technological advancements shaping the future of iGaming is undoubtedly AI. We’re already seeing its impact across multiple areas of the industry, from game development, where AI is being used to create more personalised and adaptive experiences, to the casino side, where operators are leveraging AI-driven data analysis to tailor promotions, enhance customer support, and implement more effective responsible gaming measures.
