Sought-after software provider’s new seasonal slot sees players join a fiery fiesta of sound where smashing zombie piñatas could lead to huge wins of up to 6,000x
Malta, 16 October 2025: Having already turned up the heat with the original Piñateros game, in-demand software provider, Swintt, is preparing to raise even more hell this month in the new Piñateros vs Zombies – a spooky slot reboot that gives players access to six sizzling jackpot prizes.
Featuring the same colourful carnival visuals as the original release, Piñateros vs Zombies mixes Mexican musical instruments with the macabre as guitars and maracas line-up alongside zombie-shaped piñatas and the game’s signature chili symbol returns to trigger a thrilling bonus.
Activated whenever six or more chilis appear anywhere on the game’s 5x3 reel matrix, players will initially be awarded three free spins, but whenever a new chili symbol appears, this counter will be reset to prolong the feature and give them further opportunities to collect additional rewards.
During their spins, players may encounter special jackpot chilis that will award the corresponding prize when the feature ends, with this only occurring when no new chilis appear or the reels are completely filled. In either case, once the bonus is over and players can no longer spin, the value of all chilis will be added together and paid out as a win before they’re returned to the base game.
To add a little extra spice to proceedings, Piñateros vs Zombies features a new Wild Rose symbol which can expand to complete wins across any of the game’s 10 fixed paylines and also sees the return of the series’ popular mascot, Cactusman, who’s on hand to offer a further Mystery Bonus.
With this secondary feature starting whenever bonus symbols arrive on reels one, three and five, Cactusman will pop up and take aim at a Zombie piñata, which will then be cracked open to reveal either free spin-triggering chilis or one of the slot’s rewarding Minor, Major, Maxi or Mega jackpots.
David Mann, Chief Executive Officer at Swintt, said: “With the original Piñateros proving to be a hugely popular Premium release, we’ve given the slot a spooky new makeover in Piñateros vs Zombies. Featuring the same thrilling features as the first game but with an all-new undead twist, we’re sure it’ll prove to be a hauntingly good addition to operators’ Halloween-themed line-ups.”
